Jesse Winter is a New York City based photographer with an eye for distinctive visuals.  Working largely in the realm of portrait photography, his work extends across many genres including editorial, documentary, commercial, corporate and motion content. Jesse’s mission is to create distinct visuals for a client’s vision and discover the authentic spirit of whomever he is photographing in celebration of leadership and humanity.

His style blends classical portraiture with a modern sensibility to find compositions that are naturalistic and technically proficient. Merging craftsmanship with inspiration and collaboration, letting what emerges in the moment be discovered, while achieving the creative goals of a project. His work aspires to integrate the spontaneity of verité with the craft of technique.

He has contributed non-profit work to Flashes of Hope, Lupus Foundation, Harlem Village Academies and Doctors Without Borders and actively engages projects that build a sense of community. From 2010-2026 he created and operated TEN10 Studios in LIC producing a broad range art, music and multimedia events and gatherings bringing people together in a unique historic carriage house. Recently Jesse worked with recovering addicts through the Art of Advocacy program at Pheonix House where he led a workshop over 4 weekends on self-portraiture in Socrates Sculpture Park.

A native of upstate Ithaca, he holds residence of a family property which he shares with travelers called Cayugahouse. Jesse is a graduate of Earlham College (BA English/Spanish) and holds a BFA in Photo Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology. His is the father of a 10 year old daughter named Dale.
